About The Reform Project

Our mission is to promote concussion awareness, prevention, and management in youth football, ensuring young athletes are protected and equipped with the knowledge to stay safe on and off the field.

Our vision is a future where football fosters player well-being through increased awareness, education, and collaboration in concussion awareness, prevention and management. By implementing best practices and promoting health, we aim to ensure that every player can enjoy the game with confidence and care for their well-being.

The Reform Project: Protecting Players’ Futures

The Reform Project is a 3-year initiative co-funded by Erasmus+, aiming to enhance concussion awareness in youth football across Europe.

Through collaboration with football associations, healthcare professionals and educational institutions, we develop and test tools that protect the health and well-being of young players.

Throughout the project we focus on

Creating tools and resources

We’re developing toolkits, courses and online learning platforms to educate coaches, healthcare professionals, parents and players about concussion safety.

Testing in four countries

Our resources are being tested in Norway, Germany, Croatia and Türkiye through training sessions, workshops and digital tools to ensure they are effective.

Engaging the community

We’re launching social media campaigns and webinars and working with local partners to spread awareness and encourage the adoption of concussion prevention practices.

Our goal

Young players should be able to keep enjoying football safely, backed by a strong support network of coaches, parents and medical professionals. By the end of the project we will have implemented and evaluated effective practices in our pilot countries — models that other regions and sports initiatives can build on for a lasting impact.
