REFORM Project Newsletter – August 2024
Dear REFORM Team and Partners,
REFORM Project Newsletter – August 2024, As we move through August, with some of us just returning from vacation and others still enjoying their break, it’s great to reconnect. Our diverse and widespread team across Europe is one of our strengths, allowing us to bring together various perspectives and expertise.
Save the Date: 18th October Meeting in Frankfurt
Mark your calendars for an important upcoming meeting on the 18th of October at the DFB Campus in Frankfurt. This will be a key opportunity for us to align on project progress and next steps. Please make the necessary travel arrangements and prepare to engage in productive discussions.
New Resources: Dissemination Templates and Brandbook
We are pleased to announce that we have received the official dissemination templates and the brandbook, which will guide our communication efforts moving forward. These resources are crucial for maintaining a consistent and professional image across all our project outputs. Keep an eye on Teams, where we’ll share these materials and further instructions on how to utilize them effectively.
Focus Groups Protocols: A Key Development
Significant progress has been made in developing the protocols for the focus groups under Work Package 2 (WP2). Thanks to the contributions from the UNIST and CFF teams, particularly after our consultations with experts like Ivan Buljan, MS, PhD, we’ve reached several important conclusions:
- Focus Groups Structure: Each country involved in the project will conduct three focus groups focusing on different stakeholders – medical experts, parents and children, and coaching staff and referees.
- Coordinator Assignment: Each country should designate a coordinator responsible for managing the focus group methodology and protocols.
- Protocol Preparation: The UNIST and CFF teams will take the lead in preparing the standardized protocol for these focus groups.
- Supervisors for Focus Groups: While not mandatory, it is recommended that partners appoint a supervisor experienced in focus group methodology.
We’ll present these protocols during our regular meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, so please ensure you’re up to date with the details.
Best regards,
REFORM Project Team
